Manuscripts submitted to ACTIVA: Journal of Applied Community Development must be original works, written in clear academic English, and submitted through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
Authors are required to prepare manuscripts according to the journal template and ensure that the submission meets academic, ethical, and formatting standards.

Manuscript Formatting Requirements
Authors should follow these requirements:
- Manuscript length should typically be 4,000–7,000 words, excluding references.
- Use the official journal template provided by ACTIVA.
- Use the International System of Units (SI units) for measurements.
- Submit editable tables and high-resolution figures.
- Apply consistent author-year citation and referencing style based on APA 7th Edition.
- Define all abbreviations at their first appearance in the manuscript.
Required Reporting Elements
Because ACTIVA focuses on applied community development, manuscripts should clearly report:
- Community background, needs assessment, and identified challenges.
- Participant selection and characteristics.
- Roles of community partners and collaborating institutions.
- Intervention objectives, design, and implementation period.
- Program activities, outputs, and measurable outcomes.
- Evaluation methods and evidence of community participation.
- Sustainability strategies and potential for program replication.
Ethical and Submission Requirements
Authors must:
- Ensure that all personal and sensitive information is properly anonymized.
- Obtain necessary permissions for the use of images, data, or other identifiable materials.
- Provide ethical approval and informed consent documentation when applicable.
- Submit a similarity report if requested by the editorial team.
- Complete the journal's submission checklist before final submission.
Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements may be returned to authors for revision before entering the review process.
